"Three years ago in 2008, I noticed two non-healing wounds on my right ankle and thought I had cancer. I went to my primary care doctor who sent me to Dr. Schiro at the Vein Center of Sarasota

After completing his examination, Dr. Schiro pointed out that I had varicose veins in both legs and told me that the most likely cause of my non-healing ulcers was vein disease in my legs. He called my ulcers "venous ulcers" and recommended in-office venous procedures to solve the problem.

After having the procedures done my varicose veins are gone, my ulcers are healed and my legs feel much better.
